Kim Campbell, Director-at-Large (First Term)

A native Oregonian, Kim Campbell grew up in the forests of the Columbia Gorge, picking and pressing flowers with her biologist father and tending flower beds alongside her mother. That early connection with plants and natural spaces has stayed with her ever since.

Today Kim uses flowers and plants to create inspiring spaces around her Sellwood home, which also houses her Campbell Salgado Real Estate Group. Her urban garden supports bees, birds, and insects, and her backyard has become a small thriving ecosystem in the middle of the city.

As a lifelong entrepreneur and Portland Realtor, Kim brings creative problem-solving to HPSO and contributes design, photography, video, and web development to the organization. Over the past year she has led the rebuild of the HPSO website and designed and launched the member-gated Open Gardens directory, a searchable tool that helps members discover and plan garden visits across the Pacific Northwest. She is also chair-elect of the Open Gardens Committee, where she is building the infrastructure to support garden host communications and program planning. And because every plant nerd deserves good swag, she designed much of the HPSO merchandise line, launching fall 2026.
