HPSO Winter Program: Rebecca Sweet, ZOOM
HPSO Winter Program, The Power of Shrubs: The Secret to Cohesive Garden Design, will be on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 7:00 PM (live on Zoom)
This online presentation allows gardeners to join us from anywhere for an inspiring evening with acclaimed garden designer Rebecca Sweet.
While colorful perennials often steal the spotlight, shrubs are the true backbone of successful garden design. Providing structure, continuity, and year-round interest, shrubs create the framework that allows gardens to feel balanced, cohesive, and visually satisfying in every season.
Join garden designer Rebecca Sweet for this HPSO Winter Program presentation exploring how shrubs can transform the way you design and experience your garden. Rebecca will introduce her practical approach to shrub selection—her “7 F’s of Shrub Selection”—which helps gardeners choose plants that combine form, foliage, flowers, and function to create lasting beauty and harmony. She’ll also highlight both classic favorites and exciting newer shrub varieties that bring structure, elegance, and longevity to garden spaces.
Whether you’re designing a new garden or refining an established one, this presentation will help you see shrubs in a whole new way—as the essential elements that tie everything together.
