WHY OUR MEMbERS LOVE AFTER HOURS

After Hours gets around

The Golden Hour just got a little better. For HPSO members and their guests, After Hours is a great opportunity to explore new nurseries, buy plants, and get to know the owners of these businesses. HPSO also goes to wholesalers, making this a special experience for members to visit places that are closed to the public. If you are new to the region, this program will soon become your favorite!

Locations span Salem to Vancouver. Here’s a sampling of the 2025 lineup:

Frequently Asked Questions

Each After Hours event is a little different—that’s part of the fun. Because we partner with a wide range of nurseries and garden businesses, the experience varies by location. Members might enjoy special plant discounts, behind-the-scenes greenhouse tours, light refreshments, raffles, and the chance to chat directly with owners and staff. One thing is always guaranteed: you’ll be in great company, surrounded by fellow plant enthusiasts.

After Hours events are announced through the HPSO newsletter, with convenient reminders sent out as event dates approach so members don’t miss out.

Yes—After Hours events are free for HPSO members! Just be warned: while admission is free, resisting the urge to buy plants is entirely up to you. Between member discounts and plant deals, your first After Hours event might just cover the cost of your membership.
