Work on The Fuchsietum started in late 2020 after we moved here in 2019. The project went in phases, eventually encompassing a complete 360° turn around the 1914 cottage, so we affectionately dubbed it the Evil Master Plan & Garden Makeover. Hardscaping by Winterbloom was completed by September 2022 and then the planting started. The Fuchsietum features a large collection of hardy fuchsias, as well as an unusual collection more tender potted species, along with an increasing number of other plants. You know how they manage to get in. The final frontier is a small greenhouse for overwintering fuchsia species that finally appeared in September, 2024.
