Once a year, Terra Nova opens its luscious, colorful gardens to the HPSO clan. With beds bursting with the most recent perennial (and annual) introductions, members are entitled to the first views of Terra Nova's plants in a mature form. With densely planted beds in both sun and shade with abundant pathways (original landscape designed by John McCain of Joy Creek Nursery), this garden rarely fails to please. Plant selections range from heuchera, heucherella, coreopsis, echinacea, thalictrum, tiarella, fatsia, podophyllum, begonia, penstemon, athyrium, campanula, gazania, nepeta, pulmonaria, roscoea, tradescantia, sedum, and helleborus in a wide range of cultivars. You'll see woodland plantings, sunscapes, and a water feature. All visitors will receive a gift plant to try in their garden!
