The gray days of winter are filled with garden ideas and expectations. The hellebores are blooming, and early buds are breaking. The dahlias have been dug and packed away, scion stocks are cut, and favorite plants have been marked for transplant and propagation. Seeds have been collected and stored away.

What will the garden be like in August? Many dahlias, sunflowers, castor bean, datura, and Nicotiana will be in bloom, figs will be ripe. Hopefully, the fruit tree grafts will have taken and the plants I have propagated will be thriving.

In regard to climate change - I plant and propagate Mediterranean plants; including 3 varieties of figs, I've incorporated a water conservation technology, and also a grey water recovery system.

Gardens are always fun and interesting, come by and enjoy.
