Mon Paradis
This woodland cul-de-sac property sits on an east-facing sloping wooded lot that ends at a seasonal creek. I have been cultivating and designing this garden for more than 12 years using a lot of recycle, repurpose and reuse ideas. Art and distinctive containers enhance the experience.Shrubs and trees include my favorites: katsura, cornus, acer (more than 50 cultivars),magnolia, hydrangea, and viburnum. Irises blooming in succession from February through July, meander along a natural spring. A tiny pond and bog garden and an ever-expanding fern stumpery keep things interesting. There are many hellebore, hosta, epimedium, and a wide variety of ferns. On the sunny upper terrace, a potager designed with perennial edibles, herbs, and aromatics is steps from the deck and gravel terrace gardens where fruit trees and an ever growing pot garden of hundreds of succulents, conifers and maples thrive.
