Our garden is over an acre with a wooded hillside behind the house. There is a pond which comes from an underground spring backed by mature rhododendrons. Years ago I began collecting hydrangeas and have over 40 varieties. We also have a fairly large raised bed vegetable garden which we finally secured with deer fencing a few years ago. I am counting on my hydrangeas to put on a show for my first open garden.
