We have a city size lot. Our front yard is full hot sun to sun/shade. Our backyard has a canopy of Western red cedars. Which creates a very shady backyard. Planting under the cedars affords it’s challenges. Our front garden is a narrow terrace side hill. The plants are watered by a drip systems. We have hoses everywhere. My anchor plants are a big cardoon, Physocarpus Diablo and a lime green Physocarpus. There are 3 Clematis and lots of hardy fuchsias. My current obsession. In the back I have fern garden and shades gardens. Many epimediums, hostas, hydrangea, and many fuchsias. This spring I lost a lemon cypress out front. I’m still recovering from that.
