Linde Eidenberg Garden

Having lived on this acreage for many years, it was not until I joined a garden club and semi-retired that I started putting more effort into gardening. I enjoy flowers, and as I am learning how perennials bring much more structure and interest, my garden is evolving. Surrounded by pastureland and blackberries, weeds are a constant battle. This year we plan to develop a hedgerow (barrier) on a sloping fence line. We look forward to its completion. As a registered Backyard Wildlife Habitat, there is an area dedicated to birds and butterflies; a young woodlands; some native and prairie plants, and of course, flowers such as dahlias and gladiolas in raised beds. They provide wonderful pops of color. And, no country garden would be complete without raised beds for vegetables. A small stream and pond close to the deck and pergola bring the soothing sounds of water. Other structures include a small green house, chicken coop, dog run, and my “She Shed”.
