Since moving to this house and garden on the west side of Parrett Mountain near Newberg in 2004, we have been editing/deleting/revising both plants and hardscape. Most of our yard is a sunny, west-facing slope but we do have small shade garden and a perennial border retained by a 200 foot long serpentine stone wall. The sunny, dry slopes have been planted with cistus and natives. We have added numerous perennials, shrubs and grasses to the perennial border. Our decks provide generous space for one of our favorites, container gardening. The HPSO Plant Sales have been great inspiration for us and we confess to buying many plants because we loved them and then finding them a home in the garden which frequently results in serendipitous and lovely plant combinations. Garden is not wheelchair accessible. Give us a call and stop by anytime on your way to wine country!
