Jodi’s Garden

This suburban garden is a reimagined landscape rooted in resilience, creativity, and ecological care. Following the removal of a large front-yard tree and traditional lawn, the front space was transformed into a layered planting of small trees, native species, herbs, and flowers designed to conserve water and support pollinators while providing year round interest. It also features a dry river bed utilizing water run off in the garden. Upcycled garden art is woven throughout, adding beauty, whimsy and reuse. The backyard is an outdoor lifestyle space that invites lingering. A small pond provides habitat for birds, insects, and beneficial wildlife. Pollinator support is woven throughout, with hummingbird favorites and long-blooming plants enhancing the space every season. Clematis and other climbing vines add vertical interest, blurring the line between cultivated and wild.
