What do you do when you have a small space and want to try everything? Lots of little gardens! There are raised beds for veggies, an orchard, an herb garden, a few little ponds, a retreat for the husband, and winding paths for the dog and cat to roam, all on a small scale and with a little bit of humor. In our 21 years here we've cleared much of our .32 acre hillside, terraced parts of it, built some rock gardens, and even added a few fairy tale touches. Favorite plant families include Solanaceae and Malvaceae, and I love anything that strikes me as a little bit weird!
