Imagine Possibilities Sensory Garden

The Imagine Possibilities Center Sensory Garden is a plant filled oasis for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. What began nine years ago as a weedy field has transformed into a beautiful, verdant garden. The garden includes wheelchair accessible paths, raised vegetable and fruit beds, a developing arboretum, a memorial garden, pollinator and bird gardens, a rain garden,and plants that invite sensory experiences.Imagine Possibilities has provided day programming and community inclusion for those with disabilities for over 60 years. The Sensory Garden is part of a larger Horticulture Therapy program, is supported by an active base of volunteers, and holds annual events which not only raise awareness about the healthy impact of gardening but also provide support the horticultural therapy program.
