Robert and I enjoy our hobbies and have combined the two: his model railroading hobby, and my gardening hobby to make our standard city lot an enjoyable escape. Robert can run his trains on the elevated track over the rain garden, around the Japanese maple and circle the miniature conifer forest. I can pick flowers in my perennial garden, enjoy the pollinators in the native plant, low-maintenance garden in the front yard and dabble in the small greenhouse. We are a pesticide-free zone home, with a Gold-Certified Backyard Habitat, and we are involved in the OSU Pollinator Study. Please stop by and visit. Robert will run his trains and I will talk plants.
