After 16 years of gardening in Lake Oswego, Gail and Jon sold their woodland garden featured in magazines and a recent book and created a two year old garden on a sandy, windy ridge just outside of Manzanita. Plants dug from the old garden and transplanted include Metapanex , Daphniphyllum, Arisaema, Cautleya, Roscoea, fatsia polycarpa ‘Needhams lace’, Crinodendron hookerianum and so much more. Although the back garden is fenced, it is mostly in full sun and quite windy, but the plants seem to be flourishing. The unfenced front garden is visited by BIG ELK so most of the chosen plants are pokey and fragrant or are replaceable grasses. Open by appointment. Gail can be found at 34725 Lodgepole Dr, Nehalem…just outside of and adjacent to Manzanita.
