Flamingo Park Garden is 6 years new after 33 years gardening on the rocky Alameda Ridge. We're 2 miles south of the Columbia River now with alluvial soil. Nary a rock here, save those we've added. I'm a co-owner of plantlust.com with my daughter, Megan Hansen. Research of 40,000+ plants from our contributing nurseries is something of an occupational hazard - but in a good way. Beds are packed with texture and variety - most acquired from our plant lust nurseries. The idea is to feel like we're on vacation, though I buy first and figure out the how and where later.
