Fernhaven

5 wooded acres in the Columbia River Gorge. Young garden currently developing with a focus on working with and encouraging all kinds of wildlife. Plus a protected area where I can indulge in passions like fuchsias, ferns, woodland gems, dwarf conifers, iris, and more without them being on the wildlife menu. It’s a balance- I give them lots of what they want and I get to have some of what I want too. There’s a little of everything across the property- a dry sunny gravel garden, a low-water conifer & shrub area, a wet area with springs, a meadow with hedgerow (developing), a veggie garden, a rock garden with alpines, other small treasures & a waterfall, a rain garden, a woodland shade garden with stumpery, along with lots of various wild native areas.
