Erin Ray Garden

In the 29 years we’ve lived here, my garden has been like a faithful old friend. It’s endured my ever-changing tastes and whims, and sadly, even neglect at times. Changes occurred slowly, so making the new and old fit together without revealing a severe identity crisis has been the challenge. Come see the new minimalist parking strip backed by a planted rock wall. The original concrete stairs lead to a bluestone patio that replaced the lawn. In back, new pavers that enlarged the patio, covering the old surface, made way for a new concrete wall and covered BBQ area. Finally, stone stairs lead to a more natural garden with lots of fun plants and a cozy pergola. As a bonus, also visit Ann Davis’s creative garden seven houses east of mine!
