The home and garden have been in the family since the home was built in 1950 in the Broadmoor neighborhood and the yard has evolved since then. In 2005, Myrna Dowsett designed the front garden and helped lay out a path in the backyard. In 2015, Jay Miner came in to revitalize the garden and has continued to do so and maintain it since then. Among the new plantings are Stewartia pseudocamellia, Drimys winterii, Paeonia lutea ludlowii. We saved some favorite roses and hydrangeas and incorporated them into the new mixed borders. A mature oak and specimen rhododendrons add additional structure to the garden. The goal has been to have a garden that provides all year interest.
