Enter over a bridge that creates the fernery to find dahlias and hardy hibiscus in full August bloom . This is the second season for the Lotus pod and it is thriving. The summerhouse overlooks the berry patch and vegetable garden. Cacti sentinels guard the roses. Carnivorous plants dot the flowerbeds. Pause to swing and take in the whole view.In the front yard, cactus finished blooming in July, but the other sun loving plants carry on. This garden works toward growing everything with some success and some failures. Of course ‘ya shudda’ been here last week or next week as it is always changing.
