Charlene Tuttle Garden
For over 40 years we have gardened on our 1.76 acre property which backs up to the Tualatin River. The main focus around the house is over 300 clematis, fuchsias, hydrangeas, peonies, hellebores and poppies. There is a 100-foot front border full of perennials. The structure of the garden beds is enhanced by the use of evergreen trees, shrubs and Chinese-red trellises. We have a number of Japanese maples in pots and in the ground. A large collection of fruit trees include apples, pears, Asian pears and plums. We also grow grapes, ever-bearing raspberries and have a large vegetable garden. This has been on the Garden Conservancy tour, on the International Clematis Society tour and on several Rogerson Clematis garden inviting vines tours. . White house with chartreuse (yellowish green) front door.
